Dear Friends and Golfers,

Please join us at our 19th Annual Camp Horizons Golf Tournament to be held on Monday, August 4th, 2008 at the Willimantic Country Club.

The shotgun start will be at 10:00 A.M. followed by awards, cocktails, dinner and our famous prize raffle with lots of items including golf equipment, greens fees at exclusive country clubs, tools, electronics, works of art, wine, tickets to athletic events, plays and concerts, and more. We'll also provide drinks and lunch on the course during your round.
You may register online or download a registration form as a Word document.

As you may know, Camp Horizons serves people who are developmentally disabled. As a non-profit organization, we provide quality summer camp and winter weekend programs at an affordable cost. We do not receive any state or federal money to operate our camping and weekend programs, but must rely on grants, donations, and modest tuition fees to meet the needs of campers and their families. Your participation in this event provides a significant financial boost to our camp programs. Whether you are planning to join us as a player, hole sponsor, or donor, please sign up online or return the enclosed reservation form by Friday, July 25th, 2008.

We look forward to seeing you on Monday, August 4th, 2008. Rain or shine. Come early for coffee and goodies.

Sincerely,

Art Quirk Karen Parks-Cyr Terry Ford

Below are some of the fabulous items
we have available in our silent auction at the Golf Tournament:

Play Nantucket Golf Club with a member (three golfers only)

Rarely is one invited to play an exclusive private equity club like the Nantucket Golf Club. This live auction package is for three golfers who must play with the contributing member to comply with club rules. Your sponsor will also contribute lunch and caddy fees, as it is a walking course.

Membership to this club is well into 6 figures so the actual cost to play is immensurable!

The minimum bid on this once-of-a-lifetime golf opportunity is $1200. Note that the winning bidders must get to Nantucket by either plane or ferry. A flight for the 3-some is also included.
This offer is good between September 2nd and October 12, 2008. The contributing member must confirm the actual date.

Wood Turned Art by Michael Allison

" ...The underlying aesthetic focuses on the relationships among form, surface, light and color. Essentially a container, the vessel form is the perfect vehicle to explore the relationship between exterior form and interior spaces. The piercing is both a surface graphic and a bridge between the exterior surface and the interior space. The heavily saturated and highly reflective colored surface energizes the form, by capturing light and intensifying the naturally occurring features of the material."
