CAMP HORIZONS MISSION

The mission of Camp Horizons is to provide high quality residential, recreational, support and work programs for people who are developmentally disabled or who have other challenging social and emotional needs. To fulfill this mission, we are committed to continuous improvement in our programs, facilities, and staffing. We understand and respond to the changing needs of program participants, families and communities. The Camp Horizons vision serves as a guide to our efforts.

We recognize that each PERSON is an individual with unique gifts and talents as well as special needs. We help maximize each person's ability to be more independent and to experience success.

 We create and manage PROGRAMS designed to help individuals learn and use new skills and experience self-fulfillment. Our programs provide a flow of meaningful, varied activities to promote choice, participation, relationships, and respect.

 We provide a safe, supportive ENVIRONMENT for all program participants and staff.

 We maintain and renew our buildings and camp facilities to exceed licensing requirements and state regulations. As a non-profit organization, we understand the challenges of creative fundraising and budgetary restraint.

 We employ competent STAFF, train and support them effectively, and promote professional growth. We are proud to be part of a winning team because individually we each make a difference, enjoy what we do, and contribute every day to the overall success and future of Camp Horizons.
