Despite the torrential
rain on Saturday The Instruments of Peace
garden got started at Camp Horizons. Founder
of the idea and former staff, Donna Grabinski
(RT) shows camper Stacey Reichenbach (LT)
the correct way to plant a bulb. Donna’s
dream is to sow hope in many places where
people with a variety of special needs
receive support. Gardens are planned for
shelters, soup kitchens group homes and
camps around the greater Hartford area.
A bake sale to raise fund to purchase the
bulbs was also held Saturday, which was
Make a Difference Day, at the Willimantic
COOP.
