S.E.S. was started in 1985 to develop work skills and provide employment opportunities for people who were moving from an institution to new homes in nearby towns. Landscaping and outdoor maintenance jobs provided these people with real work and real wages for the first time in their lives.

Since that time our success stories include about 100 individuals in community-based jobs in Eastern CT. Employers including Home Depot, Wal-Mart and University of CT have found hiring people with developmental disabilities has increased morale and helped their bottom line.
